Isaiah Thomas decided to add more fuel to the “LeBron James is the GOAT” campaign by saying that nobody has lived up to the pressure or has done it better than the Los Angeles Lakers star has.
Prior to Game 5 of the NBA Finals, Thomas appeared on NBA TV to talk about the pressure that LeBron has been dealing with since entering the league as one of, if the most hyped up high school prospect ever.

This comment comes as quite a surprise, especially since Isaiah Thomas played against the player revered to be the most clutch ever (Michael Jordan). However, given their beef which was highlighted in “The Last Dance,” many might deem the comment as a result of spite and jealousy.
Article Continues BelowTo recall, Thomas was left off of the Dream Team, which is largely believed to be solely because of Jordan's personal issue with the Pistons Hall of Fame point guard.
Regardless of motive, this claim by Isaiah has merit. LeBron James ranks first in virtually every NBA Finals stat category. LeBron's postseason success is too abundant and impressive to simply be ignored.
Unfortunately for LeBron and the Lakers, they lost in Game 5 as the Heat extended the series and got to live for another game. It remains to be seen if the King and his men can get the job done on Monday, but Isiah will certainly watch that and cheer for LBJ to prove him right.
