Los Angeles Lakers supporters were absolutely pumped when news of the signing of LeBron James first came out. The experience was no different for Lakers guard Josh Hart when he learned about the acquisition, as the incoming sophomore admitted that a bit of profanity was involved.

Hart first heard the news from his brother via FaceTime, and was thrilled once the prospect of playing with James sunk in.

“Uhh, holy s—!” Josh Hart told Dave McMenamin and Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN. “I was like, ‘Wow!' Obviously, there was a lot of speculation [all season], but for that to actually happen, you don't get the opportunity to play with the best player in the world often. To have something like that happen, it was just crazy.”

Being part of the Lakers meant that Hart likely knew that a deal was imminent. Nonetheless, this obviously did little to dampen the exhilaration he experienced once the news was finally confirmed.

For his part, Hart did everything in his power to ensure that he would play a significant role for the Lakers this upcoming season. The 23-year-old was absolutely balling in the Summer League, and his efforts were rewarded by the Most Valuable Player trophy.

Hart understands the extent of the Lakers' depth chart and that the team's back court is currently overcrowded. Lonzo Ball, Rajon Rondo, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and Lance Stephenson are just some of the names Hart will need to contend with this year, and for all intents and purposes, he appears to be primed to put up a good fight.
