Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma had a humorous explanation for the airballed free throw that he made midway through their game against the Golden State Warriors on Monday night. The 25-year-old claimed that he was disturbed by an earthquake and got scared of it which caused him to miss the shot from the charity stripe, per Mark Medina.
Kyle Kuzma blamed his airball free throw to an apparent earthquake in San Francisco: "Started rumbling and I got scared."

However, according to the United State Geological Service (USGS) and the SF Quake Bot Twitter feed via NBC Sports, there wasn't any earthquake that occurred in the Bay Area at the time of the Lakers-Warriors game.
On the floor, Kuzma definitely regretted missing the free throw as the Warriors bench immediately trolled him for the botched shot, via NBCS.

Luckily for Kuzma, the so-called “earthquake” didn't affect his other teammates as they played well amid the extended absence of Anthony Davis. Montrezl Harrell had his way down low as he scored 27 points while Lakers superstar LeBron James notched 22 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists.
Apart from the free-throw that made rounds on social media, Kyle Kuzma didn't disappoint on the floor as he chipped in 17 points, five rebounds, and four assists. Their collaborative effort was enough as they imposed their will on the Warriors by way of a 128-97 victory.
The Purple and Gold continue to maintain their grip on the third spot in the Western Conference with a 26-13 record even after losing several players on their roster due to injuries. After cruising to a win, the Lakers are hoping that the ground won't rumble when they head back home to face the Minnesota Timberwolves in a bid to extend their two-game winning streak.
