Devin Booker turned as hot as the sun in the first half of Game 2 against the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday night. You could say he even looked reminiscent of Los Angeles Lakers icon Kobe Bryant. At least, Kyle Kuzma seems to think so.

Kuz saw DBook straight up torch the Pelicans for 31 points in the first half alone and instantly thought he flashed some shades of Kobe Bryant.

It's tough to compare anyone to Kobe Bryant. But dropping 31 points in a single half should surely be merit enough to be mentioned in the same breath as the Lakers superstar.

Booker certainly was in a superstar groove, going 12-for-18 in the half while also connecting on seven three-pointers on 10 attempts. That tied the NBA playoff record for most three-pointers in one half, a feat that he himself accomplished last season in the Game 6 elimination of LeBron James and Lakers in the first round.

The Phoenix Suns are on a mission to get back to the NBA Finals and avenge their loss from last season. If Devin Booker puts up a few more halves like this one, they're going to be tough to beat.

But the hot half didn't sustain itself in the second as Devin Booker suffered a hamstring injury and was forced to exit the game as they struggled to hold serve without him in the Game 2 loss.
