Coming into last season no one including the Los Angeles Lakers didn't really know what to expect from Kyle Kuzma. He quickly burst onto the scene and has proven that he can be a real centerpiece for this Lakers team for many years to come.

With LeBron James coming to the Lakers this offseason the King is now the centerpiece but guys like Kuzma are still going to have a big spotlight on them playing next to LeBron. Kuzma doesn't think it's going to be much different than the spotlight that was on him during his first year in the league though and he thinks that prepared him to play alongside the King.

“I played in L.A. last year,” Kuzma said via The Athletic. “That’s a lot of spotlight being a Laker. So I don’t really see a difference.”

Kuzma was also asked if he thinks there will be a different type of pressure playing alongside James every night and Kuzma said he isn't quite sure because he hasn't experienced it yet.

“I’m not really sure,” he said. “I haven’t really played with him before. I couldn’t really give you an answer about that right now.

Even if Kuzma isn't sure yet, there is no question that there is more pressure playing alongside James. Every mistake that is made is going to be looked at more critical and the expectation around this team has gone way up which means Kyle Kuzma is also going to have to raise his game to the next level.
