According to TMZ, an unidentified woman is suing Wilson for allegedly giving her type 2 herpes. After agreeing to engage in unprotected sex in 2016, the woman claims that she contracted herpes in 2017, and that Wilson didn't tell her that he had the disease. This has resulted in the woman suing for fraud and sexual battery, contending that her consent was on the basis that he was “disease-free” before they had relations.

She is also suing for other damages and emotional distress. The Lakers' refusal to sign Wilson comes as no shock after the release of this disturbing report. Although none of the information provided has been proven by any of the parties, it is plausible that the Lakers avoided this signing to abstain from any unnecessary disturbances in their locker room.

Wilson played college basketball for Marquette and Oregon, making his NBA debut with the Phoenix Suns in 2014. Since then, he has fought for a place in the NBA, last playing for the L.A. Clippers. Wilson is currently averaging 7.0 points, and is shooting 42 percent from deep.
