LaVar Ball, the outspoken father of Lonzo Ball, has been critical of the state of the Los Angeles Lakers lately. In the past, Ball has criticized head coach Luke Walton on multiple occasions. After Lonzo Ball's return to the Lakers, his father once again criticized Walton, and according to Jeff Goodman of ESPN, his dissatisfaction came because of the rookie's minutes against the Charlotte Hornets.

“Lonzo looked good, but he also looked disgusted. He was ready to play. Four minutes left in the first quarter, he dunked it, getting in a flow and Coach sits him down. Sat him down. Now game goes from four points to 10 to 15 to 20. I don't know what they're doing. If he's ready to play, let him play. Don't try and monitor no minutes, put on restrictions.”

Ball had 11 points, five rebounds, and four assists while playing 27 minutes in the process. Still, it appears that LaVar Ball wasn't satisfied with his son's restricted play. Lonzo Ball recently came off a serious shoulder injury and made his 2018 debut against the Hornets on Friday night.

It is a common protocol for coaches to put restrictions on injured players making a return, but LaVar Ball apparently thinks otherwise. The Lakers freshman is currently averaging 33.7 minutes per game, and is shooting 35 percent from the field and 30 percent from deep.

Besides his poor scoring percentages, Lonzo Ball is still having a good season for the Lakers, currently averaging 10.1 points, 7.0 assists, 6.9 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game. Before winning against the lowly Atlanta Hawks, the Lakers lost nine games in a row — their worst losing stretch of the season.

However, if the losses continue to pile up, this would not be the last time LaVar Ball complains about the Lakers and the extent of his son's minutes. Well, truth be told, he never stops talking anyway.
