As it turns out, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has some very strong feelings about one particular, rather controversial aspect of high school basketball. The three-time NBA champ recently shared a tweet that contained a video clip of a peculiar moment during a high school game, and according to James, it is tantamount that the shot clock rule be enforced at this level at the soonest time possible.

That's actually quite a weird sequence with both teams happy to just let the game clock run out. We're not sure how long the dude kept the ball in his hands, but going through the comments on the original tweet, this turns out to be a pretty normal occurrence in Ohio. Some states have already integrated the shot clock system in high school games, but this is obviously not the case for Ohio, resulting in this almost unbelievable technique. As the Lakers star said in his own tweet, this isn't even basketball anymore.

There were a lot of people who reacted to James' tweet, with some even proposing a solution to this problem. According to them, the defense should press the ball handler to force some action, as opposed to just idly watching. Some folks then pointed out that the defending team actually had the lead at that point, which is why they were happy to just keep the score as is.

For his part, though, this approach is not something that LeBron can agree with. He has been watching a lot of high school basketball games himself, as he continues to support his eldest son, Bronny, and the Sierra Canyon high school basketball squad.
