Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James reunited with his old high school teammates as he watched his son, Bronny James Jr., take on his alma mater St. Vincent-St. Mary High School on Saturday night in Columbus, Ohio.
While the rest of the crew represented the brand by wearing LeBron's sneakers, James himself… did not:

James certainly left the arena in good spirits after watching Bronny score 15 points — including the go-ahead bucket with under a minute to go — and being named the MVP of the game in a Sierra Canyon win.
Still, seeing the old teammates must have brought back plenty of memories during his days at SVSM.

The Lakers star spoke with ESPN's Dave McMenamin about the emotions involved with his son taking on his alma mater (transcription courtesy of Cody Taylor of USA TODAY Sports):
Obviously, everybody knows that St. Vincent-St. Mary is when people started to recognize me from a national standpoint and for it to be 15 years later and my son is about to play a high school game versus my alma mater in our home state, the only thing that would have been more emotional is if my son was playing St. Vincent-St. Mary at the LeBron James Arena in Akron. That would have been like, that would have been too much.
It’s just a pretty cool thing. You don’t know how things are going to line up in life and it almost seems like it’s all coming back full circle, seeing my oldest son doing the things that he’s doing. I’m proud of him and his basketball club. They got a great team but, more importantly, they are great kids.
LeBron and co. are already legends for what they did for the city of Akron in the early 2000s. But James is hoping that his own son can follow in his footsteps.
Speaking of footsteps, maybe next time LeBron will remember to wear his own sneakers.
