Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has recorded a list of accolades longer than a country mile over the course of his career in the NBA. However, his latest achievement is a true testament to the longevity of his greatness.

Playing against his long-time friend in Miami Heat icon Dwyane Wade for what was likely the final time, James became the first player in NBA history to score in double figures in 900 straight regular-season games.

James logged 38 minutes in Monday night's 108-105 victory over the Heat, scoring 28 points on 10-of-19 shooting from the field (4-of-7 from beyond the arc), 12 assists, nine rebounds and one steal.

Following the game, James and Wade embraced in a public display of their bond.

After getting off to a sluggish start to this season, James and the Lakers have grabbed a gear, and their right foot is firmly planted on the gas pedal. In fact, Los Angeles has won six of their last seven games, which is raising a few eyebrows around the league.

James, now 33-years-old, is showing no signs of regression in his 16th season and continues to be one of the most consistently dominant players in NBA history.

The former first overall pick has made 27 appearances with the Lakers this season (all starts), racking up averages of 28.3 points on 52.1 percent shooting from the field (37.1 percent from beyond the arc), 7.7 rebounds, 7.1 assists, 1.3 steals and just under one block (0.8) in 34.9 minutes per outing.

James' next shot at adding to his double-digit streak comes on Thursday night, when the Lakers travel to Houston for a match-up against the Rockets.

Tip-off inside the Toyota Center is set for 8:00 p.m. EST with TNT having live broadcast coverage.
