It turns out that even The King can't do everything out there. Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James jokes that he's already “washed” just because he slept through his company Christmas party.

James hilariously tweeted out what he had to say after missing out on the social event:

To be fair to LeBron James, if you're leading your basketball team in just about every category there is, you are entitled to these kinds of rests. At 33 years old, James is not looking to give up the fight with Father Time anytime soon, as he is still producing stellar all-around numbers, including his highest scoring average since joining the Miami Heat in 2010.

With impressive averages of 27.8 points, 7.7 rebounds, 6.7 assists and 1.3 steals per game, the four-time MVP is leading the Lakers in those four statistical categories. LeBron is not even in his deadly playoff form just yet, but he's still doing everything for the revamped Lakers.

Even Lakers legends Magic Johnson and Kobe Bryant are worried that LeBron James has too much workload for the team. Even so, the three-time NBA champion appears not to care as he eases any fears that he is being overworked this season, per Dave McMenamin of ESPN.

“It doesn't matter,” James said. “Like you guys asked me the other day, ‘Do you feel better after playing 30 minutes compared to playing 40 minutes?' It's like, ‘No.' I work myself all year round to get in tip-top shape all year round. I don't stop. So I can do whatever.”

LeBron James and the Lakers face their longtime rival San Antonio Spurs at home on Wednesday night.
