Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is clearly feeling the Christmas spirit ahead of Saturday's showdown against the Brooklyn Nets. The King took to Twitter when the clock turned to December 25th and expressed his excitement of playing on the special day with a jolly message to his fans:

The Lakers veteran gets to do what he loves on Xmas, can't ask for more. While he'd also love to spend more time with his family. LA doesn't play until 5 PM PST which means he'll have a lot of the morning to open presents and soak in the holiday spirit.

Frank Vogel's squad is in serious need of a win and they'll be taking on a Brooklyn squad who are severely shorthanded. Kevin Durant and LaMarcus Aldridge are out due to COVID-19, but James Harden just returned from protocols.

As for the Lakers, they're also missing numerous players, headlined by the absence of Anthony Davis due to injury. Aside from the big man, Los Angeles is dealing with a COVID-19 outbreak as Avery Bradley, Trevor Ariza, Malik Monk, Kent Bazemore, and Austin Reaves remain in the NBA's health and safety protocols.

Needless to say, LeBron is going to have to take that Christmas excitement and put together a big performance for the depleted Lakers.
