It's hard to be ecstatic about the current state of the Los Angeles Lakers if you're a fan of the purple and gold. The only saving grace to what has been an otherwise dire month, or entire season if we're being honest, has been the ageless play of one LeBron James.

King James hasn't merely turned back the clock offensively for the Lakers. In some ways, he's actually gotten even better. LeBron has rocketed up to the top spot among NBA scorers this season, averaging 30.1 points per game with just seven games left in LA's season.

Incredibly, his scoring outburst for the month of March was the highest average of his entire 19-year NBA career thus far. The fact that he's outdone every iteration of his past self, at least in the scoring department, is a testament to how much LeBron James still has left to give for this game.

LeBron averaged 34.3 points in March, the highest scoring average in a calendar month in his career 👑  It's also the most PPG in a month by a Laker since Kobe in March 2007.

Not only did LeBron James outdo himself, but he also set the Lakers high mark for scoring in any month in the past 15 years. His 34.3 points in a month was last bested by none other than Kobe Bryant back in 2007.

The Lakers may not be in contention as many anticipated this season, but LeBron James has at least given fans something to cheer about as he's staved off Father Time yet again.
