The Los Angeles Lakers appear to be pulling out all the stops for the upcoming season, with a recent report emerging saying LeBron James is taking the initiative to organize a Las Vegas minicamp for the new-look Lakers with the objective of building better team chemistry.
NBA insider Sham Charania provided some details on the planned minicamp:

This is starting to become a more common practice in the NBA, with the players on the Lakers willing to cut their summer vacation a few days short in order to undergo a pre-training camp training camp. As mentioned above, so much importance is now being placed on team chemistry not only in L.A., but throughout the NBA as well, with the likes of the Los Angeles Clippers also looking to come up with their own minicamp, potentially in Miami.
This is definitely a welcome development for the Lakers, as chemistry — or the lack thereof — was perhaps one of the biggest reasons behind LeBron's failed first season in Hollywood. James and (his new) company are now given a unique opportunity to start from scratch with a completely revamped L.A. squad.
The clock is ticking for one of the greatest players this sport has ever seen, with LeBron turning 35 this season. He has no more than a few good years left in him, so at this point, every season will definitely count not only for James himself, but for the entire Lakers organization as well.
