The Los Angeles Lakers take on the Utah Jazz Wednesday, and superstar small forward LeBron James will not play.

James played 34 minutes against the Washington Wizards on Tuesday. The King finished with 23 points, seven rebounds and 14 assists in the Lakers' 124-106 win at Staples Center.

After Wednesday, the Lakers have seven games left in the regular season. Los Angeles, of course, has already been eliminated from playoff contention.

James is averaging 27.4 points, 8.6 rebounds and 8.2 assists per game this season while shooting 50.8 percent from the field, 33.4 percent from beyond the arc and 66.6 percent from the free-throw line.

LeBron's first year with the Lakers has been a disaster from a team standpoint, but the four-time MVP is still putting up elite numbers despite playing with a sore left groin for a good chunk of the campaign.

Los Angeles has one more back-to-back this season, which comes on April 4 and 5. James will likely sit out one of those games.

The Lakers enter Wednesday with a record of 33-41. They've won two games in a row after losing five straight. The Jazz are one of the best teams in the Western Conference, so they will likely coast to an easy win at home against Los Angeles on Wednesday since LeBron won't be playing.
