On Saturday, Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James passed fellow Laker Shaquille O'Neal to rank sixth all-time in field goals made. Now with 11,331 field goals made throughout his career, James is now within striking distance of making it to the top five all-time in this particular category.
James was asked to comment on his recent achievement after the team's 110-106 loss against the San Antonio Spurs, and unsurprisingly, the three-time NBA champ gave all the credit back to his hometown of Akron, Ohio.
"Anytime I'm able to do something like that I give it all back to my hometown and the kids that are just like me."

Last season, LeBron James made a total of 857 field goals, so he should have no problem overtaking the next man on the list. Ironically, it is another Laker great in the form of Kobe Bryant who has 11,719 field goals made (James is 388 fgm behind) throughout his illustrious career. James actually has an outside chance of climbing to fourth all-time by the end of the season if he is able to make another 861 field goals between now and then, to surpass the great Michael Jordan and his 12,192 field goals made.

Lastly, James also moved passed Kobe Bryant for most 30-point games. With a total of 432 career 30-point games, LeBron James is now fourth all-time in this list.
It was indeed a night to remember for James, but a forgettable loss for the Lakers who pushed the Spurs to the very end. The Lakers hope to bounce back in their next match, as they take on the drama-filled Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday night.
