Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James loves three things in life: Basketball, his family, and wine. So when the four-time league MVP when on a diet recently which included no wine drinking, James says his attachment to wine was enhanced even more.
If you follow James on social media, you know that he often posts pictures and videos of him drinking wine. LeBron had his first glass of wine in 15 days Wednesday night after his two-week cleanse. James also gave up gluten, dairy and artificial sugars.
LeBron gave up wine for two weeks. How did it impact him? “Made me want wine more.” Fair.

This is also how I think about dieting. pic.twitter.com/CqLcwmeYeX

James is going to need a lot of wine this season at night because he's going to endure some growing pains with this young Lakers team. The 33-year-old star signed a four-year deal with the Lakers in July, a move many questioned since the roster doesn't appear to be ready to compete for a championship in the rugged Western Conference.
After James signed with the Lakers, LA added Rajon Rondo, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee and Michael Beasley. Rondo and Stephenson aren’t good jump shooters, a trait players often need when playing next to James because he’s a great passer and collapses the paint on his drives to the basket. It’s fair to say there won’t be much floor spacing for the Lakers when Rondo, Stephenson and James are playing together.
LeBron James said he signed with the Lakers because he wanted to help bring the historic franchise back to prominence. The weather and wine cellars in Los Angeles probably played a role too.
