After being eliminated in the first round for the first time in his career, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James had the questions rolling in during his post game press conference on Thursday evening. LeBron had been a perfect 14-0 in first round matchups throughout his career before Devin Booker and the Suns decided to go demon mode against LA.

With the Olympics a little more than a month away, James was asked his thoughts and whether or not he plans to participate for Team USA.

Savvy move by the Lakers star to pump up his upcoming film, “Space Jam: A New Legacy.”

Most had doubted James would partake in the Olympics because obviously the thought had been that the Lakers would be finishing up a postseason run around that time. Instead, the summer and offseason has arrived in early June for James and LA after getting booted in six games by the Suns.

James mentioned he's going to let his ankle heal for about a month before he takes on the “Goon Squad.”

Of course, filming has already wrapped up long ago for the new Space Jam movie that features the Lakers all-star and he's just teasing the release date, which is set for July 16th.

It's a wildly disappointing end to the season for the Lakers, who were trying to play without all-star Anthony Davis after he tried to give it a go in Game 6 and lasted around five minutes after missing all of Game 5.

The next move for the Lakers is the offseason plans, who to bring back, who to let go, and who to potentially target in trade discussions. One thing that is certain, James will have an extra little boost of motivation entering next season after the first round exit this year.
