Friday is April Fools' Day, meaning the internet is a dangerous place because of all the pranks out there. Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James got in on the fun, tweeting that he's done for the season.

That LeBron is such a joker:

The Lakers were without their top star for the last two games, both losses. LeBron has been dealing with a nagging knee injury and now an ankle injury as he tries to drag his team to the postseason.

LeBron being done for the rest of the season would be the final nail in the coffin for this disappointing Lakers team, so this surely put a scare into some fans. On the other hand, there are probably a lot of Lakers fans who wouldn't mind this season just coming to an end because of how miserable it has been.

But, as of right now, Los Angeles is still in the mix for the final spot in the play-in tournament. The Lakers and San Antonio Spurs are battling for that No. 10 seed, with both teams sharing a 31-45 record. The Spurs are currently holding the No. 10 seed because they own the tiebreaker.

Los Angeles could be getting both LeBron and Anthony Davis back in the lineup for Friday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans. Davis has missed the last 18 games. With LeBron and AD back, the Lakers are at least a bit more dangerous and a threat to make it out of the play-in tournament.
