On the court, James and the Lakers are currently gearing up for the team's second round matchup against either the Houston Rockets or Oklahoma City Thunder, both of which continue to battle it out in the opening round of the postseason. With the Lakers defeating the eighth-seeded Portland Trail Blazers to open their postseason efforts, the Rockets and Thunder will clash once again on Monday evening in Game 5 of the series that Houston currently leads 3-2.

If the Rockets win on Monday evening, Houston would advance to the Western Conference semifinal round against the Lakers. In order for the Thunder to make a move past the Rockets, Oklahoma City will need to win Game 6 and Game 7 against Houston.

With James presently in the midst of his 17th NBA season, the veteran forward can use all the rest that he can get at this point in his career. Especially with the “NBA bubble” surely beginning to take its toll on players across the league, James and company will be rested and ready to roll against the team's next opponent.
