LeBron James won't just be playing basketball in Los Angeles. The Lakers' superstar will also continue working on his acting career in La-La Land. James is set to star in Space Jam 2, but who ends up directing the movie is still up in the air.

According to Umberto Gonzalez of TheWrap, Terence Nance is in talks to direct the sequel to the sequel to the cult classic from 1996. Originally, Justin Lin of Fast and Furious fame was set to direct the picture, but now it looks like Nance is the more likely choice to team up alongside James.

While this news is big for the direction of the movie, it's not the most pressing question for fans of the original Space Jam. We know James is starring alongside Bugs Bunny and our favorite Looney Tunes characters.

But who's going to replace Patrick Ewing, Larry Johnson, Charles Barkley, Shawn Bradley, and Muggsy Bogues? That's the biggest question on everyone's mind.

Will James star alongside his banana boat buddies like Dwyane Wade and Chris Paul? Or will the Space Jam 2 team decide to go all-in with LeBron James' teammates and cast Lance Stephenson, Rajon Rondo, JaVale McGee, and Michael Beasley?

There are so many great options to choose from and there are a number of ways the production team can decide to take this.

It's going to be hard to top the original, but fans should be willing to give James and whoever he's cast alongside a fair shot at it.
