LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers has often been vocal about political issues plaguing the United States. This has opened him up to being a target for those who don't agree with the stances he takes.
The Lakers star was under fire in April for a post on Twitter that some felt sounded like a threat towards Columbus police officer Nicholas Reardon. The said officer was caught in a violent encounter which resulted in the death of Ma'Khia Bryant, a 16-year-old black girl who had reportedly attacked others with a knife.
The divisive ordeal caught the attention of one Idaho policy officer, Nate Silvester, who posted a TikTok that openly mocked the Lakers star with a fake scenario involving one black man trying to stab another black man.

From a report via KTVB7, the Bellevue Marshal's Office from which Silvester comes from, released a statement decrying the viral video addressed to the Lakers star:
“The statements made do NOT represent the Bellevue Marshal's Office. The Bellevue Marshal's Office always demands that our Deputies engage with our citizens in a friendly and professional manner,” the office said on the post targeting Lakers' LeBron James.
After an internal investigation on the matter, the officer was eventually let go. The Bellevue Marshal's Office made clear that the content of the said post wasn't the reason for his removal, but rather it was from “violated several clearly established city and state policing policies.”
Bellevue Mayor Ned Burns posted on the city's Facebook page with a final message on the matter.
“We wish Mr. Silvester the best, and we ask for calm and understanding,” Burns concludes on the said post.
