LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers have not gotten off to a good start so far in his first season with the team. It has been a rough start, in fact, that the rumor mill has been churning about Luke Walton's job as the head coach being in jeopardy. There is no telling if those rumors are true, but it has gone far enough that potential candidates to replace him have surfaced.

According to a report from Chris Broussard of Fox Sports, the Lakers could consider Jason Kidd and Mark Jackson as potential head coaching candidates if they fire Walton.

James' good friend, who predicted him signing with the Lakers, also posted a picture on Twitter of Jackson.

Los Angeles is currently 3-5 on the season and some of their losses have been extremely frustrating. James is not the kind of player to be content with losing, which could lead to Magic Johnson making aggressive changes early on.

Throughout the first eight games of the season, James has put on a show. He has averaged 27.8 points per game to go along with 8.6 rebounds and 8.0 assists. James has shot 50.9 percent from the field overall and has connected on 27.3 percent of his 3-point attempts.

The Lakers still have the potential to get on a run and turn things around. James being on the roster gives them a fighting chance to compete in the West once they get their chemistry figured out.

Walton is a good coach, but there is more pressure than ever on him with James on the roster. Not competing will not sit well with the Lakers' front office, which could very well lead to a firing.

Expect to hear plenty of rumors continue coming out in the coming weeks about the Lakers, especially if they continue struggling. If they do fire Walton, Jackson and Kidd certainly would make sense.
