The Los Angeles Lakers will be shorthanded tonight when they take on the San Antonio Spurs at home on ESPN.
The Lakers will be without both Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram for the big game.

With the Lakers out of the playoff race, there is no sense of urgency to rest either of these two future corner stones of the franchise back from their injuries. They both may even be done for the rest of the season with just five games in total remaining.

For now, Lakers fans can reminisce about the duo's first season together, including this great start to it.
The Spurs on the other hand will take any breaks they can get as they are still fighting for prime playoff position. Bitten by the injury bug more than they have been in years, San Antonio is currently in fifth place in the Western Conference with the same record as the fourth-seeded Utah Jazz and just a game and a half ahead of eighth-seeded New Orleans. Clearly, every game remaining is huge for San Antonio.
Tonight's nationally televised showdown should still draw some eyes and it will be interesting to see how the Spurs in particular close out the regular season.
