With the Los Angeles Lakers taking on the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the NBA Playoffs, fans are excited to see star Luka Doncic take part in his first postseason as a member of the team. While Doncic is ready to go war for the Lakers, Bill Simmons says that Doncic could have some drawbacks that the Timberwolves will take advantage of during the series.

On his self-titled show, Simmons said that one of the “game plans” for Minnesota will be tackling Doncic's “immaturity” head and try to “agitate him and annoy him.”

“I absolutely think one of Minnesota’s game plans is going to be to try to agitate him and annoy him and hope that he gets mad, and hope that he gets technicals, and hope he gets into mono e mono stuff,” Simmons said. “I just think he’s shown some real immaturity on the court. All the same stuff he’s been doing for the first seven years of his career, he still does.”

“He still talks to people on the front row and all that s—t,” Simmons continued. “I think Minnesota has a bunch of guys who love that. The other thing with Minnesota is, it’s definitely an irrational confidence team. Nobody is going to be scared. They’re not going to be, oh my God, we’re playing in LA. They don’t give a s—t.”

Subsequently, others feel the series won't be a cakewalk for the Lakers against the Timberwolves like team legend Magic Johnson. Still, one would expect that Los Angeles remains the favorite after the successful season they've had led by LeBron James and especially ever since the blockbuster trade for Doncic from the Dallas Mavericks.

One confident person is Doncic himself, as he said before the first game of the series that, besides them having a “great team,” the players in the group are “willing to go to war,” according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin.

“I think we have a great team,” Doncic said. “We have guys who are willing to go to war. Everybody is staying together; the chemistry is high. So I think we, for sure, have a chance.”

The first game of the series between Los Angeles and Minnesota will be on Saturday night.
