After Kawhi Leonard finally made his decision and joined the LA Clippers, the Los Angeles Lakers had to immediately shift gears and fill the roster with a variety of the team’s secondary targets such as Danny Green, JaVale McGee and DeMarcus Cousins.
Another name that had been bandied about as a potential fit for the Lake Show was Marcus Morris, who fill a need as a strong, sweet-shooting wing to put around LeBron James and Anthony Davis. However, Morris shut down any and all rumors when he responded to a tweet in the negative.

Though tweets are not necessarily gospel, and, as we’ve seen over the past few weeks, anything can happen in the NBA, this would make it seem like Morris will not be a member of the Los Angeles Lakers anytime soon, which means L.A. must once again pivot to the next few names on their list.

Names that have been discussed are LeBron’s former Cavaliers teammates, Kyle Korver and J.R. Smith, who helped lead James to multiple consecutive Finals appearances.
Beyond that, one of the most amusing names that has been linked to James and the Lakers is his good friend Carmelo Anthony, a move that merits little discussion due to its likelihood – and the general amusement that will follow.
Beyond that, players such as Iman Shumpert, Justin Holiday, Ian Clark, Justin Anderson and David Nwaba would all be reasonable fits on a Lakers squad that is now scrambling after Leonard chose the other LA's “other” team over them.
