Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James recently took to Instagram to share an inspiring post pertaining to his incoming 18th season in the league. The four-time NBA champ's post was flooded mostly by messages of respect and congratulations, but for the part of Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., it was an opportunity to talk a bit of smack towards The King.

For starters, here is LeBron's post, as he shared a few photos of himself preparing for the upcoming campaign:

Beckham took to the comments section to come out with this hilarious jab aimed towards James:

“WASHHHHEDDDD,” wrote Beckham in his comment, while adding a few emoticons to indicate that he was being sarcastic with his comments.

At age 35 (he will be turning 36 this December), LeBron is no spring chicken. This is exactly why his critics have been hounding him about not having it anymore and being labeled as a “washed” star. James proved them all wrong last season by leading the Lakers to their first championship in 10 years and the team's 17th title in franchise history.

For his part, Beckham sent a bit of a shout out here to LeBron's naysayers, reminding them about how they were so wrong about James no longer being at the top of his game.

Oh, and in case you missed it, James was recently named by ESPN as the top player in the entire NBA for the 2020-21 season. That's not so washed, I guess.
