Rajon Rondo of the Los Angeles Lakers has climbed to 18th place on the NBA all-time assists leaders.

Given that Rondo's just 33-years-old, he could easily breach the 7,000-assist mark in the coming years. Where do you think Rondo will end up?

The Lakers guard has been tagged as one of the elites guards in the NBA. He's right up there with the likes of Chris Paul, Steve Nash, and John Stockton as one of the pure point guards.

For the past few years, however, Rondo's been vastly underrated. Probably because he's been in either small market teams with little exposure or losing teams who can't seem to find the formula for winning.

This season with Los Angeles, Rondo's skills were appreciated once again. Earlier in the season, he was an effective leader of the purple and gold's second unit. He also served as a mentor to Lonzo Ball who's poised to be a great guard like him.

Given the Lakers' failed campaign to reach the playoffs, many questioned Rondo's future with the Lakers. After all, he's just signed to a one-year deal. But recently, Rondo hinted that he wants to continue donning the purple and gold.

It seems that Lakers fans need not fret after all.
