Los Angeles Lakers point guard Rajon Rondo is dealing with a sprained right finger. The former Kentucky Wildcat will not be traveling with the team for Thursday's game against the Kings, and his status going forward is a bit uncertain.
According to a report from Lakers beat reporter Mike Trudell, Rondo's length of absence will be determined by his level of pain tolerance:
Walton said Rajon Rondo (sprained finger) could be out either a couple of days, or for awhile, depending on how he can tolerate the pain.

Luckily, Rondo's sprained finger is not on the same hand that required surgery earlier this season.
Rondo, now 32 years of age and in his 13th season of NBA service, has made 14 appearances with the Lakers this season (two starts), averaging 8.4 points on 45.0 percent shooting from the field (35.7 percent from beyond the arc), 6.7 assists, 4.4 rebounds and a steal in 24.4 minutes per outing.

Rondo logged 23 minutes off the bench in Tuesday's impressive 127-101 victory over the Golden State Warriors, scoring 15 points on 6-of-11 shooting, 10 assists and five rebounds.
In other Lakers injury news, LeBron James suffered a groin injury in Tuesday's win. Though an MRI scan showed no serious damage, the three-time champion has already been ruled out for Thursday's matchup. Lakers head coach Luke Walton made it clear that they are going to be cautious with James' return. For now, he's listed as day-to-day.
“Obviously, we want him back soon as possible,” Walton told CBS Sports after Tuesday's game. “But we also will be very cautious when we bring him back.”
Thursday night's Lakers-Kings game is scheduled to tip inside the Golden 1 Center at 10:00 p.m. ET.
