Los Angeles Lakers star Russell Westbrook is starting to play a lot better lately and you can certainly tell by his energy. For example, in his post-game press conference on Monday night following a big win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

That's Westbrook standing there with his son and the sun shining on them. He's just grinning from ear to ear. It's definitely a proud dad moment for the Lakers guard. Russ put together another solid performance against the Cavs, posting 20 points, 11 assists, and four boards while going 2 for 6 from three-point land. He now has two double-doubles in his last two games and previously drained a game-tying triple in Toronto last week after a terrific play at the end of regulation where he picked Scottie Barnes' pocket, jetted down the court, and made it rain.

The Lakers have now won two of their last three games and although LeBron James is defying age, the fact that Westbrook is stepping up his level of play is very important. The veteran is shooting the ball a mile better and looking a lot more confident.

Honestly, it's just good to see him smiling again and sharing a special moment with his son. Let's hope Russ can continue to produce on the court and help the Lakers make a playoff run.
