Los Angeles Lakers fans held their collective breaths late in the fourth quarter in Game 4 of the NBA Finals. The reason? It appeared that LeBron James suffered a groin injury.

LeBron was battling for a rebound on a Miami Heat miss before he bent down and winced in pain following a minor collision in the paint.

It could be remembered that LBJ pulled his groin last season, forcing him to sit out 27 games — the most in his career. The Lakers tapered off when he got sidelined, with their strong campaign getting derailed and ending in disappointment after missing the NBA Playoffs.

That's why many fans of the Purple and Gold expressed their concern on Twitter on Tuesday night.

Fortunately, they were able to heave a collective sigh of relief as The King brushed it off and continued to play, helping the Lakers escape with a hard-fought 102-96 victory to take a commanding 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven series. LeBron finished with game-highs of 28 points and 12 rebounds, while adding eight assists.

He had an awful start in Game 3, committing five turnovers in the first half while only scoring eight points on 3-of-8 shooting. But he came out a different guy after halftime, making timely plays and getting his Lakers teammates involved. More importantly, he limited his errors, committing only one turnover.

The 36-year-old LeBron James has always been one of the more durable players in the league. It's widely known that he spends millions of dollars every year to maintain his body.
