Kobe Bryant was once again part of a lot of headlines on Sunday, as he won an Oscar Award for his short film, “Dear Basketball.” It was his first in filmmaking, and will now be added to his growing list of awards, which mostly came from his exploits in the NBA.
His win on Sunday drew a lot of congratulatory messages from his fans, as well as from former and current players, who all made it known how happy and proud they are of him. Most of them took to their social media accounts, particularly on Twitter, to send him their well wishes and give him a lot of praise for a job well done. Magic Johnson, Dwyane Wade, Paul Pierce and Kevin Love, among others, did not waste time and posted their greetings for The Black Mamba.
Congratulations to my good friend @kobebryant for winning the Oscar for best animated short film. Well deserved!

While Bryant is considered one of the best players to ever play the game of basketball, he is also making a name for himself now as a good businessman, as well as a gifted filmmaker. His Oscar Trophy only proves further that he is a winner in everything he does, and continues to be someone who a lot of people look up to.
Kobe Bryant played in the NBA for 20 seasons and won almost all awards the league has to offer, including five championships, the regular season and Finals MVP, and being named an 18-time All-Star, just to name a few. He retired following the 2015-16 season, but continues to serve as an inspiration to many, and making them believe that they can also be good at other things outside of basketball.
