Article Continues BelowThe Lakers have been struggling to win games after losing LeBron James (groin) and Rajon Rondo (hand) to injuries after their Christmas Day showdown against the Golden State Warriors. They have lost seven of their last 12 games and if Ball will miss a significant amount of time, this could really hurt the Lakers' chances of making the playoffs. They're currently tied with the Utah Jazz for the eighth and final spot in the Western Conference standings.
Without Ball, the Lakers are now without three of their best ball handlers and playmakers, Brandon Ingram and Kyle Kuzma are expected to play point while waiting to see if the second overall pick in last year's draft could return to the court.
As of this writing, the Lakers are up 82-77 against the Rockets despite leading 69-52 before Ball got hurt.
Lonzo exited the game with eight points, 11 assists, and three rebounds and was instrumental in helping the Lakers build a double-digit lead in the first half.
