Only three things are certain in life: Death, taxes, and NBA players getting linked to the Los Angeles Lakers in free agency.

With the free agency frenzy fast approaching, more names are being thrown around as possible acquisitions of the Lakers to provide more help (haters trigger!) for LeBron James. Some are quite bogus, some are very probable.

While the Lakers finished the season as the top defensive team, LeBron, Anthony Davis, and company would surely welcome more help on the other end of the floor. According to rumors, Milwaukee Bucks forward PJ Tucker could find himself wearing the Purple and Gold next season. But the Lakers will have a lot of competition for the veteran enforcer.

Via Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report:

Brooklyn has maintained an interest in Tucker dating back to the Nets’ James Harden trade talks. Miami also discussed adding Tucker in variations of the Heat’s negotiations for Victor Oladipo, sources said.

Add the Lakers, Warriors, Nuggets, and Jazz as teams that could vie for Tucker’s services too. Minnesota, led of course by former Rockets executive Gersson Rosas, has coveted Tucker dating back to the 2020 Draft, sources said, and the Wolves have continued searching for frontcourt improvements.

The 36-year-old Tucker, who's as tough as a block of granite, would be a welcome addition to any squad. His passion, energy, and leadership are assets for any title contender. Anywhere he goes, he has made a huge impact defensively, while also providing outside shots — two things the Lakers value.

LeBron James has had many battles with PJ Tucker, so The King should probably agree to the move. Things might be extra difficult, though, if the Bucks win the NBA championship.
