Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma delivered a monster slam on Houston Rockets center Clint Capela in Thursday night's game.

After Kuzma caught the ball on the wing late in the fourth quarter in a four-point game, he then proceeded to go off the dribble while headed right for Capela.

While some players may have slowed down, Kuzma didn't as he went at Capela with a lot of force before hammering home the dunk.

It was undoubtedly a big momentum play for Kuzma and the Lakers but it wasn't enough to overcome a tremendous night from Rockets superstar James Harden, who scored 50 points while knocking down 14 of 26 shots from the field and 18 of 19 attempts from the free-throw line.

Harden also completed the triple-double by going for 11 assists and 10 rebounds in 35 minutes of action.

LeBron James led the way for the Lakers with 29 points on 12-of-18 shooting, while Kuzma was next in line with 24 points.

It wasn't an ideal loss for Luke Walton's team but there's not much you can do when Harden, the league's reigning MVP, is playing at such a high level. Of course, it didn't help that the Lakers made just 15 of their 27 attempts from the charity stripe in what was a close game down the stretch.

Kuzma and company will return to the court on Saturday night when they take on the Charlotte Hornets, who are currently riding a three-game winning streak after a victory over the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday.

After that, the road swing will continue with upcoming games against the Washington Wizards and Brooklyn Nets.
