The Los Angeles Lakers managed to win over the New Orleans Pelicans by a narrow margin. However, LeBron James thinks the Pels got a bit of a boost from poor officiating.

Late in the fourth quarter, Lakers guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pop was called on an apparent foul on Pelicans forward and former teammate Brandon Ingram. The referee awarded Ingram with two free throws to make the already-tight contest an even more nail-biting affair. Head coach Frank Vogel challenged the call, but the decision wasn't overturned.

James, who finished the night with 29 points, five rebounds, and 11 assists, was so frustrated with the call that he went straight to the commentator's table and gave a hot take in the middle of the game.

It's true that everyone — including the officials — is still trying to traverse how coach's challenge actually works. Issues like these will continue to pop throughout the season, as they're still trying to get used to this new rule.

Stars other than LeBron will voice their displeasure at the perceived inaccuracies of the calls in the future.
