Lonzo Ball hopes to be playing in the NBA Finals one day leading the Los Angeles Lakers back to the promised land, but since he isn't in it this year, he still found a way to make an appearance.
During Sunday's Game 2, Ball appeared in a commercial for the Equalizer 2 which is set to release on July 20th. He appears on the set with boxes upon boxes of merchandise, and he is hoping to take Denzel Washington's role for the sequel.
In typical Big Baller fashion, Lonzo said his family is the king of the merchandise business.
“Were going to need some merch for the movie, and my family is the king of the merch buisness.”
Lonzo then shows off some shirts, hats, and shoes which he says are pretty hot. He then checks to make sure this is a family movie, so his “pops” could find a role to land.
The 30-second ad seems to show everything that the Ball Family is about. They are always trying to push their merchandise, and they are always trying to make sure the family can do everything together.
Usually, it's LaVar trying to convince someone wy his sons are good enough to play for the Lakers, but now the roles have changed and Lonzo is trying to land his father a job on the set.
This one of the first major movies that Lonzo has helped advertise for, but don't expect it to be the last. Lonzo is the star of Los Angeles right now and should get many more opportunities to do marketing like this.
