Has Carmelo Anthony gotten desperate?
It seems like the 10-time All-Star is now pitching some NBA superstars for his services. Melo recently posted some cryptic tweets, one to his close pal, LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers, and another to the Golden State Warriors superstar tandem of Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry. However, he has since deleted them from his profile.
Luckily, Bleacher Report was able to catch them:

Carmelo Anthony is currently on stand-by mode, waiting whether he'll ever get the chance to play in the NBA again. It looks like he has gotten impatient with all this waiting and is already taking it upon himself to reach out to other players, especially guys on contending teams.
The former No. 3 pick was once of the most prolific scorers in the NBA. However, his reputation took a major hit during his most recent fallout with the Houston Rockets. The Rockets struggled mightily with Melo on the floor, especially on defense.
Article Continues BelowMelo's lack of commitment on that end of the floor has soured many teams across the league. And now that his scoring ability and efficiency is deteriorating as well, he becomes more of a liability, given that he doesn't provide as much on offense and gives up a ton defensively.
Nonetheless, there may be hope for the former scoring champ. LeBron recently voiced out that he always wanted to play alongside Anthony, and the two dined together this week. However, the Lakers reportedly have no desire to acquire Anthony, who is (surprisingly) technically still with the Rockets.
Moreover, it doesn't appear like the Warriors will need someone like Melo, as they already have some of the most prolific scorers in the league in Durant, Curry, and Klay Thompson.
It remains to be seen if Melo will find another landing spot in the NBA. Will these now-deleted tweets eventually reach those he initially tagged? And will they budge and give him another shot?
