In the first half of the 2018-2019 NBA season, Christmas day duel between the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers was the most-watched game.

Per Sportsmediawatch.com, the Chrismas day game between the Warriors and the Lakers attracted 10.21 million viewers. While it was a lopsided victory for the Lakers, 127-101, it definitely brought some quality entertainment as it featured the best athletes in the world: LeBron James, Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, and Klay Thompson, just to name a few.

Following the Warriors-Lakers duel are also Christmas day games: the Philadelphia 76ers vs the Boston Celtics and the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Houston Rockets. The NBA intentionally schedules the best teams in the NBA to duel on Christmas day. After all, most basketball fans — casual or diehard — will be at home will likely watch the game.

The next game was the first duel between the Lakers and the Cavaliers. It was James' first game back in Cleveland after signing with the purple and gold over the summer. It ended up as a good game with the Lakers on top, 109-105. Interestingly, the top 10 most-watched games featured two games between the Lakers and the Houston Rockets. But in all honesty, it's not a surprise. The Lakers are one of the popular teams in the NBA and the Rockets have reigning MVP, James Harden.
