Orlando Magic small forward Evan Fournier is slated to miss the next two games with a sprained right ankle, according to the team's official report.

Fournier will miss tonight's game against the Denver Nuggets and will not travel to Atlanta with the team for Saturday's game against the Hawks.

The Magic assure his return will be dependent on how he reacts to treatment, as Fournier is expected to undergo another evaluation at the end of the weekend.

Orlando already has Terrence Ross on the shelf, which would mean more time for Jonathon Simmons and Mario Hezonja in his absence, as rookie Jonathan Isaac also sits tonight's game with an ankle injury of his own.

The Magic (11-15) have won three out of their last five games after being mired in a nine-game losing streak last month. Evan Fournier was a close second in scoring to Aaron Gordon with 18.3 points per game, leaving a large gap to account for during the rest of the week.

Gordon, Simmons, and Nikola Vucevic will have to sync up great nights to make up for the loss of Fournier, also one of their best deep threats throughout the season, shooting at a 41.5 percent clip. Evan Fournier had played in all 26 games of the season thus far.
