While it was an emotional night Wednesday as Luka Doncic returned to take on the Dallas Mavericks, the team now has to move on to the next game against the Toronto Raptors. Despite the speculation around the Mavericks being about the future, the team still has two contests left in the regular season and likely the play-in tournament, but first there could be concern with Klay Thompson being added to the injury report.

As of the 5:30 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time) injury report, Thompson is “questionable” for Friday's game against the Raptors with what is labeled as a “left foot sprain.” So far this season, the former Golden State Warriors guard is averaging 14.1 points, 3.5 rebounds, and two assists per game while shooting 41.2 percent from the field and 39.2 percent from beyond the arc.

While he's suffered from some significant injuries in his career, he's played in 71 games this season with two games left as said before where the rest of Dallas has suffered which includes stars like Anthony Davis, Kyrie Irving, and more.

While Thompson and Davis have been the featured duo of the Mavericks, the lengthy injury report also includes the latter though he is listed as “probable” with the left adductor strain. The reason why the two have been the main tandem is due to the season-ending injury of Kyrie Irving which was a torn ACL as he went through surgery in the hopes of a full recovery.

At any rate, Dallas still has a chance to make some noise in the postseason despite the heartbreak this season from the trade sending Doncic away and the immense amount of injuries since then. First, the team will have to get through the play-in tournament as they're locked in for either the ninth or tenth spot, meaning the Mavericks will have to win two contests in the tourney to make the playoffs as the eighth seed.

Dallas is currently 38-42 which puts them 10th in the Western Conference.
