Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant can jump. If you need further proof of this fact that you have to check out this insane play from the 21-year-old in Thursday night's bout against the mighty Los Angeles Clippers.
Morant showcased his ridiculous hangtime as he scored this eyebrow-raising layup after hanging in the air for what felt like an eternity (h/t Bleacher Report on Twitter):

Talk about hangtime, right? It literally looked like Ja took a seat mid-air as he stretched for the reverse lay-in. The extension is pretty impressive too for the Grizzlies star.

Morant has been on a tear of late, putting up some noteworthy numbers in his last five: 21.1 points (on 47.7 percent shooting), 6.0 rebounds, 7.6 assists, and 1.0 steals. Nevertheless, he hasn't reached the heights of his outrageous 44-point explosion on opening night.
The Grizzlies have been rather impressive this season. They are currently sitting on a 13-14 record, which is good for 10th in a ruthless Western Conference. Right now, they are just two games behind the eighth-seeded Golden State Warriors.
If Morant is able to keep up his high level of play, it wouldn't be surprising if Memphis ends up contending for a spot in the postseason towards the tail end of the campaign.
