Many around the league have wondered why the Memphis Grizzlies just don't buy out Andre Iguodala so he can play for the team of his choice.

Some rival executives are convinced the Grizzlies are not eager to do him any favors and have no intention of buying him out, thereby allowing him to join the team of his choice—especially when that team could end up being the Grizzlies' first-round opponent.
Memphis remains confident it will find a trade partner for Iguodala before the NBA trade deadline passes.
Last season for the Golden State Warriors, Iguodala averaged 5.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game. He shot 50.0 percent from the field, 33.3 percent from beyond the arc and 58.2 percent from the free-throw line.
As mentioned, the Grizzlies won’t buy out Iguodala, who is owed $17.2 million this season, the final year of his contract. The 2015 Finals MVP won’t play a single game for the Grizzlies, as he waits to see which team will trade for him.
Iguodala has career NBA averages of 12.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.4 assists.
