The Memphis Grizzlies are reportedly setting their sights on shooting guard Avery Bradley. According to Marc Stein of The New York Times, the Grizzlies have the interest of the Grizzlies, who are looking to shore up their shooting guard position.

Bradley did not see much action last season, as he appeared in only 46 games due to what was initially considered a groin injury. It was later diagnosed as an abdominal issue. He underwent surgery in March, effectively ending his season. Bradley’s health woes came at a very inopportune time, as it happened during the last year of the four-year contract he signed with the Boston Celtics in 2014, thus limiting his value in the upcoming free agency period.

Nevertheless, Bradley is still only 27 and won’t turn 28 until November. For the Grizzlies, it’s a good time to swoop in and sign Bradley to a cheaper price than what the two-way guard would probably be asking if he did not have any trouble with his health last season. With Tyreke Evans set to hit free agency, Bradley could be a high-value replacement for the void left by the former lottery pick.
Bradley began the 2017-18 campaign with the Detroit Pistons before he was shipped to the L.A. Clippers back in January along with Tobias Harris, Boban Marjanovic, and a pair of draft picks for Blake Griffin, Brice Johnson, and Willie Reed. With the Pistons, he played in only six games and averaged 9.2 points. Overall, he put up 14.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.1 steals last season with the Pistons and Clippers.
