The Grizzlies won by a final score of 119-117 to improve to 4-7 on the season. Morant finished with 23 points and 11 assists in 30 minutes.
Morant entered Wednesday averaging 17.8 points, 3.6 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game for the Grizzlies while shooting 46.2 percent from the field, 43.8 percent from beyond the arc and 73.8 percent from the free-throw line.
Morant could win the Rookie of the Year Award if he keeps this level of play up since No. 1 overall pick Zion Williamson is currently out with a knee injury.
