There are reportedly no ongoing conversations taking place between the Detroit Pistons and Memphis Grizzlies regarding All-Star big man Marc Gasol, according to James Edwards III of The Atheltic.
The Grizzlies are listening to trade offers for Marc Gasol for the first time since he has been with the team. Memphis has the second-worst record in the Western Conference at 20-30 and appears ready to embark on a full rebuild.
According to an NBA source, there are no conversations going on between Memphis and Detroit regarding Marc Gasol. I gather that the #Pistons did their due diligence a few weeks back but nothing came of it.

The Pistons have power forward Blake Griffin and center Andre Drummond on the roster, so there is really no need for the franchise to acquire Gasol, who is 33-years-old and not the elite defender he used to be.

In 49 games for Memphis this season, Marc Gasol is averaging 15.4 points, 8.7 rebounds and 4.7 assists. The three-time All-Star and former Defensive Player of the Year is shooting 43.9 percent from the floor, 35.8 percent from beyond the arc and 76.0 percent from the free-throw line.
Gasol is making $24,119,025 this season and he has a player option worth $25,595,700 for next year. The NBA trade deadline is Feb. 7. It will be interesting to see if the Grizzlies actually part ways with Gasol, who has scored the most points in franchise history.
