The Miami Heat find themselves with a 2-3 record after their first five games of the season following their loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Friday. While there are concerns surrounding the Heat, Bam Adebayo explained why he believes Miami hasn't hit their stride just yet.
“You got to think about it, man, we haven’t been together that long to get back in the flow with each other,” Heat All-Star center Bam Adebayo said after Friday’s 93-83 road loss to the Dallas Mavericks, via the Miami Herald's Anthony Chiang. “So we just got to figure that out and do a better job of trying to get cohesive triggers and just play better together basketball.”
It has been a little over two months since the Heat lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA Finals. With a shortened offseason, Miami didn't have much time to reconnect ahead of this season, which Adebayo believes is causing a slow start for them.

However, you could make the argument that the Lakers dealt with a similar situation and look to be an improved roster from last season. Though, in Miami's defense, they've already had to deal with an injury to Jimmy Butler that led to losses on the schedule.
The reigning Eastern Conference Champions find themselves in a quick hole to begin the season after an abysmal showing on Friday versus the Mavericks. If the Heat plan on contending for a title again, they'll need everyone to get in sync sooner rather than later.
Miami will look to get back on track against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday night.
