Whether the Miami Heat are winning or losing, center Bam Adebayo is rarely at a loss for words. Speaking with reporters following the team's controversial loss Sunday afternoon against the Indiana Pacers, Adebayo had a blunt response when asked how he was dealing with the squad's recent struggles, according to Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald.
Bam Adebayo: "Losing sucks. There's either winning or there's misery."

“Don't let the peaks get too high and the valleys too low” is clearly not a mantra Bam subscribes to. Get this man a drink.
Not only did the Heat drop their third consecutive match of the season, and second against the Pacers, but Miami also had the indignity of a referee missing a timeout call from head coach Erik Spoelstra as time wound down.
With Indiana holding a slim three-point lead with under a minute remaining, Caris LeVert missed a fade-away shot from behind the arc to put the game away, allowing Jimmy Butler the chance to grab the rebound and speed up the court, hoping to tie the match and it into overtime.
However, while the forward was looking to attack in transition, Spoelstra could be seen desperately trying to get the official's attention along the sideline in order to secure a timeout and draw up a final play for the Heat.

Said officials at least should have looked to see if he was making such a call. Arena's sound effects didn't help, either. Perhaps while coaches are wearing masks . . . no sound effects? https://t.co/JLMOOoBgit

Whether the referee chose to ignore the Heat head coach or simply couldn't hear him due to the surrounding artificial noise, the result was the same, with the play continuing and Butler ultimately firing an off-balance three-point shot that badly missed.
Unfortunately for Adebayo, the misery may continue as the 21-13 Phoenix Suns stroll into Miami Tuesday night.
