As expected, Miami Heat starting point guard Goran Dragic won't play in Game 2 of the 2020 NBA Finals against the Los Angeles Lakers, per Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium.
Dragic suffered a torn plantar fascia in Game 1 and was only able to play 15 minutes.

Goran Dragic has been Miami's second-leading scorer in the 2020 playoffs, trailing only Jimmy Butler. He's putting up 19.9 points per game while shooting 45.0 percent from the field, 35.9 percent from beyond the arc and 81.4 percent from the free-throw line.

This is such a tough blow for the Heat and Dragic. Although you can never count out Miami since the team has been silencing doubters left and right all season long, the odds of the South Beach franchise defeating LeBron James, Anthony Davis and the Lakers without Bam Adebayo and Dragic are really low.
If the Heat do wind up losing to the Lakers, the team should still be proud of what they accomplished this season. They defeated the Milwaukee Bucks in the second round of the playoffs in five quick games, an impressive feat since the Cream City squad had the MVP and Defensive Player of the Year in Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Getting to the Finals in the first year of the Butler era is something not many thought could happen. With that being said, the Heat should be commended for not listening to the naysayers and believing in the group they have in South Beach.
