The Miami Heat had a golden chance to get back to their winning ways on Thursday against the Sacramento Kings. Leading by a point in the final seconds of the game, the team only had to make one stop and force a miss from their opponents.
They did just that as Bogdan Bogdanovic missed a jumper for the Kings, however, the Heat failed to box out De'Aaron Fox, who came out of nowhere for a thunderous follow-up slam. His basket proved to be the game-winner that handed the home team their second consecutive loss.
Goran Dragic was asked to give his thoughts about their game and he quickly blamed himself for the loss. He also added, via Fox Sports Florida, that their starting unit was out of tune all game long, which made it easier for the Kings to beat them.

Despite the defeat, Dragic showed what the Heat culture is all about, opting to not pass the blame to anyone else. This is what the team has been known for and Dragic is proving to be selfless, being a true leader. He understands that being one of the veterans, he should've played better and not allowed simple mistakes to happen, as they prove to be the difference between winning and losing.
This could definitely be charged to experience and it will only make Dragic and his teammates better. Even if they don't have an All-Star, the Heat are still in fourth place in the Eastern Conference, and if they can start winning consistently again, they could even make a run for one of the top three spots in the conference before the regular season ends.
